The skate consists of four components: an iron hoop, the skate body itself, an asbestos board, and a metal sheet. The working surface of the skate body is coated with a lubricant, while the back side is covered with a cotton board and a protective metal sheet. An iron hoop surrounds the outer perimeter.

The functions of each component of the ladle slide plate
Asbestos board:
Its primary function is to absorb and cushion the deformation between the skateboard and the mold frame, ensuring even stress distribution between the skateboard and the mold frame as well as between the upper and lower skateboards, and also providing thermal insulation.
Tinplate:
Prevent high-temperature sintering between the skateboard and the fixed mold frame.
Iron hoop:
When skateboards are used under high-temperature conditions, crack formation is inevitable. To prevent the skateboard from breaking and to stop cracks from further expanding, a protective measure is necessary.
Fixing the ladle slide in the mechanism
The skateboard is secured by four diamond-shaped corner blocks positioned diagonally. In the diagram, the direction of the arrows indicates the force direction acting on the skateboard. During use, due to thermal shock, cracks are inevitable. To prevent these cracks from spreading further, a diagonal-pressure method is employed to stabilize the skateboard. This approach effectively inhibits the propagation of both横向 and longitudinal cracks simultaneously. The skateboard’s design features a diamond shape, which not only saves material and reduces costs but also lightens the overall weight, thereby reducing the physical strain on workers.
